ISO 22000 Standards family:
ISO 22000:2005 – defines requirements to food products safety management. It is used for certification purposes. Standard does not specify requirements for the product.ISO / TS 22004:2005 - This technical specification provides guidelines for application of ISO 22000:2005 standard.
FSMS enables organizations:
1) to develop, implement, execute, maintain and improve food products safety management system, aimed at ensuring safety of food products for consumers;2) to show compliance with consumer’s requirements by way of information;
3) to show compliance with regulated requirements relating to food safety;
4) to ensure compliance with the food products safety policy;
5) to demonstrate compliance with requirements to other organizations;
6) to make a proper declaration of conformity to this International Standard;
7) to achieve certification/registration of food safety management system by a third party.
